Reference management made easy with Zotero

Agenda

• Installing and setting up Zotero
• Building your Zotero library by adding bibliographic references from a variety of sources (online databases, library catalogs, PDF files, etc.) and attaching files
• Organizing all contents of your Zotero library, from bibliographic references to annotations
• Identifying and installing in Zotero the relevant citation styles for your field
• Citing with Zotero: focus on the word processor plugins for inserting citations and the corresponding bibliography with Word, LibreOffice and Google Docs

• Internet connection compatible with videoconferencing sessions
• Microphone recommended but not compulsory; webcam not compulsory
• Software: Zotero and a web browser : Firefox, Chrome or Edge - check the system requirements on Zotero website

Trainees will receive detailed information at least one week in advance regarding the installation of the software and the settings to be made for the course: installation of Zotero, creation of an online Zotero account and registration in the Zotero group for the course.
